My humble salutation to Goddess
Sri Abirami, who is the consort of Lord Shiva, destroyer of the city of
Thripura which was construsted by the demons with an illusion of its permanent
existence, Oh! Abirami, Oh! Mother, who
is venerated by Lord Vishnu, would obliterate the fear of death of your
devotees surrendered at your lotus feet, she remove the illusion and worldly
bondages as well, ultimately provide liberation from the cyles of birth and
death/ state of bliss.

Sri Abirami, who is the consort of Lord Shiva, adorned the crecesnt moon on
matted hair lock, your zealous devotees
undergoes sincere austerities and worships your lotus feet, which is the place
of origin and symbol of all the auspiciousness and riches like chariots,
horses, gold, pearls and precious stones.

Sri Abirami, who is attired in grand red silk clothes, decked in various
precious jewels on chest, has beautiful three eyes; her striking plait of black
hair is decorated with the fresh alluring flowers of Jasmine. The devotees, who constantly remember the
magnificent form you and worship, would be the greatest among the austerities.

Sri Abirami, Oh! Humans, do you want to be free from affronted while you
undergo extreme poverty which force you to plea for help from someone? Then, you should follow me to take refuge on
the lotus feet of Goddess Abirami, which is the safe heaven for all. Oh! Goddess Abirami, I earnestly pray to
protect me from the association of the people who are depraved and no faith in
austerities.

Abirami, Oh! Mother , though you have various manifestations, you are spreading
the brilliance of your existence in all the creatures in the Universe and
revealing your presence and absence simultaneously, but you predominant in my
heart incessantly, and this secret is known
to Lord Vishnu who dwells in the leaf of Peepal tree and my Lord/Universal
father Lord Shiva.

Abirami, who served the entire Universe with the meager grains provided by Lord
Shiva/my father, your grace made me to praise you with my humble language, Oh! Mother protects me from pronouncing inappropriate
words.

Abirami, who is fully bloomed lotus flower in the river Vaikai as well as in my
heart, Oh! Beautiful virtuous young woman with raised bosom which has the
resemblance of lotus bud, your lotus like eyes are the ocean of mercy,
therefore I will not surrender to anything other than on your lotus feet.

Abirami, who carries long sugarcane as bow and five kinds of flowers as its
arrow, I am aware of the fact that you are the only safe heaven to me, but I
was not willing to follow any of the austerities or worship you. You should not punish me for what I have done
to you and you should bless me and protect me. Mothers who has the feet malleable than the
cotton, will not punish their children isn’t it? You should protect me in the
same way.

Abirami, who has the sweet melodious tone of voice which is sweeter than the
milk, you have placed your lotus feet on the matted hair locks of Lord Shiva,
which is venerated by Lord Vishnu and all the deities and you have placed your
lotus feet on the four Vedas which was highly praised by your graceful eyes. You have placed your lotus feet on my head
too, that is least deserving like the foul-smelling dog.
