Abirami Andhadhi by Sri Abirami Bhattar !! Lyrics & Its meaning 1 - 10

Jai Ambey Ma !!

My humble salutation to Lord Ganesha, who is the son of Lord of Chidambaram/Lord Nataraja decked in the garlands made of Sara Kondrai flowers/flowers of golden shower tree/Cassia fistula, and Goddess Sri Uma who is the female force of Lord of Chidambaram.  I earnestly pray to provide me perpetual devotion at the feet of Goddess Sri Abirami who is the creator of seven worlds and continuously remember the sacred verses which describe her compassion and glories.

My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Abirami, who has the resemblance to Lord Aditya in the hours of early dawn, has the stunning appearance of precious gem and buds of pomegranate, has magnificent appearance of the strike of lightning and has the features of vermillion, which was praised by Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, who is seated on the lotus flower.

My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Abirami/Thiripura Sundari, who is decked in alluring flower as arrow, sugarcane as bow, Pasam and Angusam, I have realized that she is my safe haven, she is my venerable Goddess and mother of the Universe, and she is the pinnacle and essance of Veda too.

My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Abirami, who provides auspiciousness to his devotees, I have not been in the association of your devotees or rendered any services to them due to my impure mind, therefore I have been in the union of the sinners.  I have meticulously understood the splendor of you that you are the essence of Veda; I shall surrender to you and take refugee on your lotus feet.

My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Abirami whose lotus feet are venerated by humans, deities, Rishis & Sages, she is the consort of Lord Shiva whose matted hair locks has adorened with the flowers of Sara Kondrai, cresecent moon, venomous serpents and Bhageerathi/Ganga.  I earnestly pray to provide me the constant thought of you.

My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Abirami who dwells in the three significant stages of creation, preservation and destruction, adorned in precious gems on the high raised bosom which causes curve on her beautiful waist due to its heaviness, she is the provider of eternal wisdom and knowledge to her devotees.  Oh! Goddess Sri Abirami, who transformed the deadly toxin into nectar that was consumed by Lord Shiva with long matted hair locks, your lotus feet are smoother than the lotus flower you are settled, therefore I shall adorn your lotus feet on my head.

My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Abirami, who has marvelous features, I shall carry your lotus feet on my head and I shall continuously remember your sacred hymns.  Oh! Goddess Sri Abirami who has stunning physical features that has the texture of vermillion, I shall be in the association of your fervent devotees and I shall incessantly recite your sacred hymns.

My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Abirami, who has stunning appearances and whose lotus feet is venerated by the lotus born Lord Brahma, brother in law of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi and Lord Vishnu, I earnestly pray to provid salvation from the continuous process of birth and death in the Universe, like churning the curd.

My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Abirami who has possessed marvelous features and the consort of Universal father/Lord Shiva, capable to destroy all worldly bondages, she has vanquished the demon Mahishasura, she is the personification of young maiden Goddess Neeli who has blue complexion, carries Brahma kapala/skull on her hand, I shall always remember her lotus feet.

My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Abirami/Uma who is unidentified by the ignorant people, provider of auspiciousness, born in the Mount Himalaya, you are eternal bliss and provider of salvation, you are the essence of Veda, I shall always meditate upon you, while I stand, sit, lay or whatever state I am occupied and I shall venerate your lotus feet.
